Wish Necklaces - $25 w/ christmas delivery

So, it's that time of year when we run around like crazy people searching for the right stuff to buy, buy, buy...so here I am sell, sell, selling...but I hope maybe the idea behind these necklaces fits better into the spirit of this season than other latest greatest tsochkes.

Over the summer I meet a young woman on the beach wearing a lovely simple necklace, a small gold starfish on a length of red twine, I liked it so much I asked about it. She told me it was a "wish necklace" you make a wish when you put it on, then wear it until the string wears thin and breaks...and when it does, your wish comes true.

What a lovely idea, to fill something beautiful full of a dream, and then let it go. Maybe in our disposable culture what we need less of is buying things and more of is lovely dreams.

So (with inherent contradictions in tow) this season, buy someone you love a wish.

Each necklace is made of either a faceted smoky quartz on a taupe colored fine cotton twine, or a fresh water pearl on a cream colored fine twine. Each with a gold clasp (so one can choose to wear it until it falls off continuously, or a bit at a time!) I am making a limited edition of ten of each color. They are $25, the price includes shipping, and orders emailed to me before weds the 19th are guaranteed for christmas delivery.

Each comes with a card that reads "This necklace is made for your most special wish, make your wish when you put it on, then wear it, continuously, or a bit at a time. When the strand wears thin and the necklace falls away, your wish will come true."
